

Mrs. Selina Margaret Taiwo Carew, aged 96, died peacefully on Saturday, 30th. September, 2023 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Sarah A. Cole, her husband, Mr. Sylvanus Charles Cole and their family, at Regal Court, Stafford, Virginia, USA..
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Sarah A. Cole, two sons: Fr Alphonso A. Carew of Freetown, Sierra Leone, and Pastor Manfred M. A. Carew of the USA and adopted sons: Messrs Jonpolu Dolo in the USA and John Moses Kanu of Australia.
She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Mrs. Comfort Carew in the USA.
Nephews include: Mr. Joe K. Davies in Freetown, George Ola Davies in France, Mr. Albert Davies in Freetown, Mr. Cyril Davies in the USA, Messrs. Abdul and Ola Lusenie in the USA, Daniel M. Oldfield in Canada, Pastor Christian Ajibola Oldfield in Freetown, Colin and Michael Morgan in England, Ibrahim Lusenie, Charles and Arthur Johnson, Hafeez Chalarambus, Julius Parker of Freetown and a host of others.
Nieces include: Ms. Vida Ebun Davies, Maria and Judith Lusenie in the USA, Saffie in Freetown, Sarah Amara and Comfort Carew in the USA, Joy Carew, Augusta M'bayo in Freetown and Mrs. Helen Ganda in Freetown and Puhehun, Mrs. Betty Kumba Sesay in Freetown, Ms. Susan Morgan in England, Mrs. Patricia Zainab Lewalley and Ms. Margaret Yeawa Koroma in Freetown and England, Ms. Elizabeth Johnson of Freetown and a host of others.

Granddaughters include, Mrs. Candida Fofana, Ms. Susan Cole and Alvira Cole, Mary Amara in the USA, Martha Sesay, Mrs. Christie Renner-Lisk in Freetown and many others.

Daughters-in-law include: Mrs. Jane Carew in the United States, Mrs. Taiwo Davies in France, Mrs. Dora Davies and Mrs Esther Dolo in the USA, Mrs. Blessing Kanu in Australia and many others.

Funeral Service will take place on Saturday 21st October, 2023, starting with a viewing between 10:00 and 11:00 AM at the MULLINS AND THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME at 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, Virginia, 22554, USA.
A Thanksgiving Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Sunday, 22nd October, 2023 at the WINNERS CHURCH, 17286 Dumfries Road, Dumfries, Virginia 22026, USA.
