She was my favorite person, and I always looked forward going to visit her. She was always there for you, always listened without judgment, and her home always felt so safe. I loved going over to her house, and I’m so thankful for all the times I got to visit her and Uncle Jim. We would go over for lunch or dinner and just sit and talk about anything and everything. I’ll always remember sitting around their kitchen table for hours, somehow turning the smallest things into long conversations. 

Her personality was just so awesome. She was so open-minded, which is something I always loved about her, and she was so funny. You could talk to her about anything, and she always made you feel heard. She had a way of making every visit feel special, even when we weren’t doing anything big.

I’m really going to miss her, but I know she’s where she wanted to be. She was never scared of leaving and always talked about it, which makes it a little more peaceful to think about.

Her and my mom were the best of buddies, and I’m so glad my mom had someone like Aunt Sharon. I’m going to miss receiving cards from her every year because she always made sure everyone felt loved and remembered.
I’ll always keep all the crochet blankets and everything she made for me over the years because they’ll always remind me of her.
Her memory will forever live on and never be forgotten. I love you, Aunt Sharon 💗💗

The kind of friend you want to be or want to have. She was a friend of my mother's back from when she was a cosmetologist, and they stayed in touch during the decades after they both left the industry. It was Sharon that she asked to be with her during her final days after the doctor told my mother that her cancer was terminal. She wanted to be reminded of the beauty shop days that she cherished from her younger days and the friendship that she and Sharon had kept all of those years. We kids were at the house too but I can say it was Sharon that lifted mom's spirits that last week, it was Sharon who wiped her forehead as the cancer was taking her, and it was Sharon who helped administer the morphine to help her cope with the pain. To her it was no big deal and she was just doing what Ann had asked her to do, but to us it meant the world. Without Sharon I wouldn't be here she introduced my mom to my dad. I'm grateful to have been blessed to have known Sharon.

Sissy, I don't know what I will do without you. Life without your smile and laughter. Sharing our secrets and our dreams, and of course, our bedroom. Shopping together even though neither of us needed anything... You were the kindest, loving, and giving person. It all came so natural to you. There are so many, many things I want to thank you for. I just don't know how to or where to start.  Thank you just isn't enough.  I  believe that we were very blessed to have each other. I will always cherish  you and our memories. 
Angela and Eric may not have had as much time with you as I or they may have wanted, but they always knew who their Aunt Sharon was. They loved you as much as I do.
It's funny how well Frank & Jim knew us. Frank, would just look at me and say, "you need a sister fix, let's go."  And he was always right. Whatever was up it got better when we were together. Then Frank and Jim would just go in the other room or out to the garage and let us do whatever.
I know in my heart that you are with Jim and that is where you wanted to be. Tell him we miss him. Say hi to Momma and tell her I  love and miss her everyday.  Just like I am going to miss you. Rest in peace Sissy, I love and always will.

Aunt Sharon  ... I'll miss you forever . Thank you for all the beautiful blankets you made for my grandchildren . Thank you for being my Aunt . Thank you for being the person you were . And thank you for being the kind soul that you were . I know you are happy now and at peace  . Give Uncle Jim a hug from me . I love you forever and for always

One of my favorite memories of Aunt Sharon is the chocolate chip cookies she made every time we came to visit. As a child, I simply enjoyed eating them. As an adult, I realize how much love and effort went into making batch after batch by hand, long before convenience made it easy. What I appreciate even more now is all the work that came before and after the baking — Aunt Sharon didn’t have a dishwasher, so every batch meant washing everything by hand. Looking back, I realize those cookies were more than a treat; they were one of the many ways she showed her love.

Her oven had a personality of its own, which gave us one of the family sayings I’ll never forget: “Brown is cooked and black is done.” Those cookies were always a little crisp, sometimes a little darker than most people would aim for but absolutely perfect to me. In fact, because of Aunt Sharon, I still prefer my chocolate chip cookies crisp rather than soft. I get comments all the time that I always burn my cookies, but I like to think Aunt Sharon would have approved.

Every time I bake a batch (which isn’t often I admit, because they are a lot of work), I’m reminded of her kitchen, her humor, and the way she showed her love through simple acts of kindness. I’ll miss her dearly, but I’ll carry those sweet memories with me forever.
