$haza Axaxa Farrakhan Davis was born at 9am on November 7, 1995 at PG Hospital in Lanham MD. He was a happy little boy, a fun teenager and a wonderful young man who never gave his family a day of trouble.
$haza loved music from a young age. He loved his family and his friends. Loyalty was important to him because he gave loyalty to those who he knew and loved.
His smile would light up a room! His favorite colors were black and gold. He always said: “Stay Gold” and everything he touched turned to gold. From his raps, to his clothes…. You know that $haza liked to be “EXTRA”. He was always trying to make people laugh. He loved his friends and always tried to make sure they were good. Some of you……he called the Tuesday before he passed. He was always calling people randomly. $haza loved thoroughly. He was love in its purest form.
His favorite quote was “Live while you’re living”. He had it tattoo’d on his arm as a reminder to himself to continue to do this everyday. This is exactly what he did. He lived fully in the time that he had with us all.
$haza had several jobs, the first of which was Popeyes(2 years), then Marriott(altogether around 3 years…..Only person we know to be hired and fired and rehired and refired for the same job and the same thing at the same hotel…….He couldn’t get to work on time for nothing! ), Busboys & Poets, Madam Tussauds. He also had some “Sort of” jobs…. He worked for the Human Rights Campaign one of the hottest summers ever. He had to work on the streets trying to get people to donate. That job lasted a week. He loved the idea……but hated the heat. He even tried working with his Dad. That job lasted 3 days……..actually 2 days. On the 3rd day he asked Tony to pull into a metro station before they got to the job and he jumped out and caught the bus home. He said moving furniture was not the life for him.
$haza collected so many friends that became his family through these jobs along his life’s path.
His favorite tv show was Scandal. Oh he loved him some Olivia Pope. He even got a long white trench coat to match hers for his birthday this year. He was smart and always trying new things so that if he ever needed to, he could give a person a classy cuss out Olivia Pope style. His favorite movie was The Princess and the frog.
He learned to play the guitar on his own. Learned new dance moves within minutes. He also learned sign language because he felt guilty for just in case he met a deaf person that he wanted to at least be able to have a conversation with them.
As much as he learned, he was also one of the best teachers. Always teaching people anything he knew. Whether it be about Greek and Roman mythology, to planets and like his mom, he absolutely loved history. The most important thing $haza taught those around him was love. Undiluted in it’s strongest form.
$haza leaves behind his mom, Jackie, dad, Tony, Big sister, Africa, Middle sister/best friend, Seven, big brother, Devon and baby brother, Devyn…..as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives who adore him.
