She was born January 25th, 1938 in Kirkland, Washington to Frank Hall Edmands and Lucille Anderson.
She is survived by her children Forrest Matthew Ackert and Scott Christopher Ackert and their spouses. She was also blessed to have 2 grandchildren Merrick Preston Ackert and Kiera Roxanne Ackert who followed in her footsteps of having a love for geology and gemstones.
Suzi had many adventures and accomplishments in her lifetime. Suzi was a University of Washington Huskie through and through, who took every opportunity to keep up with their football. She was the Florida State Spear Fishing Champion in 1958. She also created and taught school to embassy children in Saudi Arabia because of a promise to her youngest that he would be able to go to school like his big brother. She was a world traveler having visited over 57 countries including the Zulu Nation where she was able to witness the Bridal Dance of the tribes (one of her favorite memories).
Suzi loved to be participate in social groups; she belong to TOPS for over 39 years, Beta Sigma Phi National Sorority and The Red Hat Society’s local chapter, Red Hatters. Suzi’s smile and positive attitude will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
