He was born on January 8, 1930, in Oruro, Bolivia to the late Justiniano Gonzales and Natalia Andrade.
My dad’s life was a true testament to resilience and devotion. He grew up with very little, spending part of his childhood in an orphanage and learning early on what it meant to sacrifice for others. Despite the hardships, he always found joy in sport-he loved to play all kinds, but golf and soccer were his greatest passion. Determined to build a better life, he taught himself accounting and worked hard to support his growing family. He made the brave decision to immigrate to the USA, all for the promise of a better future for his children.
Family was always at the heart of his life. He and his beloved wife were married for 55 years, raising 8 children together and watching their legacy grow to include 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Even with so many people to care for, he found time to share his love of sports, his wisdom, and his unwavering work ethic. My dad passed away at 95, leaving behind family strengthened by his example of sacrifice, love, and perseverance.
Predeceased by his parents; his loving wife Ubaldina Gonzales Antezana and three siblings: Eva Gonzales, Jorge Navarro and Donata Gonzales.
