Theresa Florence Linkens

Theresa was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 28, 1926. Daughter of the late Rocco and Jennie (Tovini) Caputo.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Murgo and husband, Joseph; son Richard Linkens and wife Jeanne; brother, Frank Caputo and wife, Rosemarie; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wright Linkens and her son, William Wright Linkens Jr,

During WWII, Theresa worked at a defense plant, supporting the war by inspecting mortar shells for any defects. She was a hard working woman, who always put the needs of others before herself.

Theresa loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She shared her love of baseball with her family. The NY Mets were her favorite team.

A memorial mass will be held at St Francis of Assisi on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 12:00 pm. A private interment will be held in Quantico National Cemetery.
