Our paths crossed at St. Matthias UMC in the past three years. Wanda always had a warm smile and a "hello" for you. There were days when it was hard for her to talk a lot but she was full of warm greetings. Her happy face will be missed when we attend church.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Ronnie Short and the Short Family for the loss of his mother. I did not know Wanda, yet, however; I was looking forward to that day. Thank you for accepting my daughter, Teresa, with open arms. We will take good care of Ronnie for you.

I never expected when I brought flowers to you on May 7th that it would be the last time I'd talk to you. I wish I would have stayed longer instead of dropping them off and telling you I'd be back on Saturday to take care of the yard. I'm not sure how it works or if you will be able to see this but I want to try and write something brief. I can't really explain how much I already miss you or what you meant to me. Or how much you being there during tough times when I was a kid truly had an impact on my life. I do know that since I was young, you raised me like one of your own. I stayed with you when I was little, during my breaks at college and even when I graduated and had no idea what I wanted to do, you let me live there with you. Thank you for being someone I could easily talk to, for everything you did for me during some difficult times when I had no idea what was going on, for gravy and biscuits, the second drawer in the kitchen filled with candy and for having a comfortable place I could call home and always come back to. I hope you knew how much I loved you Gaga and I hope that I was able to make you a little proud. I will think of you everyday and will never forget how important you are. Thank you for everything and I hope you can rest easy now. I love you Gaga.

Wanda was "one of a kind" and a truly unique person. She was honest to the core, with no pretense about her. What she said she meant and she let you know how she felt most of the time. She did love the slots and on the occasions that we both went on trips to the gambling casinos, her usual question would be, "Feeling Lucky"? She really liked giving it a shot, sometimes came out a bit ahead, but had a good time whether or not she won. It was the playing and giving it a try that counted. She enjoyed doing it. She will be so missed by all of us.

I am so sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I always enjoyed when she came into Walmart and we talked. I know what a loss that is for your family.

We moved into our home 10 years ago and Gag became our neighbor next door or should I say we became hers. Come to find out my husband went to school with her Grandson. She would crack jokes that could always bring a smile to your face or have a very witty comment that sometimes would make you laugh and also blush. This lady had talent, cook..goodness best ever, her crafting and sewing skills were absolutely the fenamial. We are so very thankful that we got to be her neighbor. She lived life to the absolute best possible with her dignity and love.

Gag,
Words cannot describe how much you meant to me. Our many memories that we shared together will be with me for eternity. Your firm hand and gentle sole brought me much support and comfort. I always knew that you had my back no matter what. You have done so much for me and I am forever grateful for the joy that you brought to my life.
I miss you so much and I love you more than you'll ever know from the bottom of my sole,
Kek
