

William retired from the U.S. Army and then worked for the civil service, for many years, for the Armed Forces Medical Examiners Office in Dover, Delaware. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids, traveling, fishing, barbecuing, computers, gardening, and music, but mostly he loved, just watching tv and the latest movies. William will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Marie Gamache Bailey; three sons, Christopher Bailey and wife, Diana of Brunswick, MD, Nicholas Bailey and wife, Sheri of Spotsylvania, and Benjamin Bailey and his wife, Mary of Stafford; eight grandchildren, Aiden, Christopher, Jadyn, Adrien, Autumn, Laila, Luca, and Isla; four brothers, Jerome Davis, Alexander Davis, James Davis, and Jerry Davis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Mae Bailey; two brothers, Johnnie Davis and Jeffrey Bailey; and several aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel at 12:00 pm, with the family receiving friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association.
