He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; two daughters, Katrina Kapes and Tanya Kapes; father, William John Kapes Jr.; and brother, Scott Kapes.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Summit Presbyterian Church at 11:30 am, with a reception following the service. If unable to attend the service, Summit will be livestreaming the memorial on both their Facebook and YouTube pages. Internment will take place in Quantico National Cemetery on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Summit Presbyterian Church.
