

He is preceded in death by his former wife of over 40 years, Lois Marene Jones, who passed in 2016.
His fiancée, Barbara Redd remained by his side until the very end.
He is survived by his two loving children, William Thomas White, Jr., and Janene Marie White, as well as two adoring grandchildren, Caleb Thomas White and Qyara Zephia White. His reach also extended to many nieces, nephews,and cousins.
William was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
William was born August 30,1948 in Waynesburg, PA. He graduated from Beth Center High School before enlisting as a combat engineer in the United States Army, serving his country honorably in Vietnam. He retired after a storied 20-year career with the rank of Master Sergeant. His awards included the Meritorious Service Medal, Purple Heart, and the Bronze Star.
While nurturing a young family of four, he selflessly continued his public service, working for Fairfax County for 20 years. After retiring and the passing of his beloved, Lois, he moved to Las Vegas, where he enjoyed life to the fullest with his fiancée Barbara at his side.
He died a Soldier, husband,father, partner, and a proud American. He left an indelible impression on everyone who knew him, and his magnanimous personality will be greatly missed. After a life of enduring service, his family is grateful that he may finally “Stand at ease”. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that you donate to a veteran organization of your choosing.
A visitation for William will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel. His celebration of life will begin at 12:00 PM and his burial will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA.
