Adam Charles Eidelberg

Beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law and dear friend and mentor to many – Adam Charles Eidelberg passed away on September 16, 2021 at his home in New York City surrounded by his beloved wife Hillary Jassey, and children Bennett, age 9 and Hazel, age 6. Adam was born on May 18, 1963 in New York City to the late Albert Eidelberg and Linda Eidelberg. Adam was raised in Englewood Cliffs, NJ with his younger sister April Eidelberg. Adam is survived by Linda and April, each of New York City, and his niece Lilly. Adam graduated from Riverdale Country School in 1982 and Clark University in 1986 with a B.F.A. degree in Photography and a minor in Education. In 1985, Adam joined the International Center for Photography (ICP) where he worked for over 22 years in many different positions. Adam eventually used these skills to successfully start his own general contracting business in 2006 known as A. Eidelberg General Contractors. In the fall of 2019, Adam was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Adam and his family are specially thankful to the loving care he received from his primary nurses Carlene, Kehinde and Norda. Adam fought the disease with his usual strength, never-ending humor and determination. The funeral and burial will be held Sunday, September 19 at 12:30 pm at Temple Beth El located at 350 Roxbury Road, Stamford, CT. A Meal of Comfort (seudat havra’ah) will follow immediately after at Temple Beth El. Donations may be made in Adam’s memory to Compassionate Care ALS at or Bridging Voice at Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at for the Eidelberg family.
