
He was 79 years old.
He was a classical philologist, specializing in Latin and Greek, among other languages. He was educated at Fairfield Prep, Fairfield University, Fordham University, and Yale.
For many years, he taught at St Basil's Seminary, the Ukrainian Catholic Seminary in Stamford, Connecticut. In an interview given a few years ago, Albert said that his life had been enriched by his years of teaching Classical Philology.
He was the translator of an important edition of the Revelations of St Birgitta of Sweden (published by the Paulist Press in 1990) and also liturgical works.
Albert was devoted to the study of the Lives and History of the Saints.
His many interests included gardening and book collecting.
Albert is survived by his brother John and numerous cousins on both sides of the Atlantic.
He was predeceased by their parents, Albert P. C. Kezel, M.D., and Mary Ryle Kezel, and Mary's sister, Ann Ryle.
He is also survived by his numerous students, and his many friends, who will mourn his loss.
Albert faced an implacable illness with great courage and resolve, and without complaint.
A viewing will take place on Monday, July 13th, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St Maurice Catholic Church, 358 Glenbrook Rd, Stamford, CT. A funeral mass will immediately follow at 10:00 a.m.
Interment to follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 124 Rock Rimmon Rd, Stamford, CT.
