Alice was born on June 11, 1937, to Pysche Augustin and Ixcila Augustin. In 1962, she married the love of her life, Jules Barbier, in Lacoline d’Aquin, Haiti. Together, they built their life and family in Stamford.
Alice was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Marie Barbier, Claude Barbier, Jean Jules Barbier, and Bury Barbier.
She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Avery Brown, Shaquanda Barbier, Najee Barbier, Nyl Barbier, Taj Barbier, Marcus Tyler Barbier, A’Meara Barbier, and A’Leah Barbier. Her great-grandchildren: Kedar Tucker, Liam Liddell, Jeremiah Brown, Aviana Brown, Regan Barbier, Orion Liddell, and Noah Barbier. Her siblings: Solinair “Pocely” Augustin and Solange Augustin.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jules, as well as her siblings Marie-Ange “Shube” Augustin-Azima, Luckner Augustin, and Mirielle Augustin.
Alice’s life was defined by her love for her family, the bonds she shared with those around her, and the memories she created throughout her 89 years. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love and legacy will continue through the generations of family and friends whose lives she touched.
A viewing will take place on Saturday, August 22, from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St, Stamford, CT.
A funeral mass will follow on August 22 at 10:00 AM at the Basilica of St. John the Evangelist, 279 Atlantic St, Stamford, CT.
Interment will immediately follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave, Norwalk, CT
