Alice was born in Springfield, MA, the only child of the late Helen and Jack Costigan. She was a proud graduate of the College of New Rochelle in 1944. Alice was a longtime resident of Longmeadow, MA and Fort Lauderdale, FL prior to her move to Stamford in 2002. Throughout her life she enjoyed travel, painting, and time spent at her beach house in RI, but primarily, she derived her greatest joy from her family and the time she was able to spend with them. She is survived by her daughter, Carol Taney (and husband Charles), sons Jeffrey Diamond (and wife Wendy), Christopher Diamond (and wife Linda), and Matthew Diamond. Grandchildren include Sara Humphreys (and Will), Megan Gonzalez (and Bebe), Charles Taney (and Ana), Kate Billingsley (and Michael), Kari Kayiatos (and Dave), Brooke O’Brien (and Brendan), Paige Kraft (and Geoff), C J Diamond (and Hallie), Adam Diamond (and Lauren), John, Patrick, Max, and Duke Diamond. Alice was additionally blessed with seventeen great grandchildren. She always likes to say that her wealth was in ‘Diamonds’. Others who knew her would easily add that her caring and devotion extended to friends and acquaintances as well. She was a woman of wisdom, grace, elegance, beauty… and unconditional love.
