Audrey M. Vivian

Audrey Marie Vivian of Yarmouth Port, MA, formerly of Stamford then New Canaan, CT, passed away on September 3, 2016. She was born on April 8, 1925 in Stamford, CT to parents Elizabeth and Timothy Horan. She was one of six children.

She married Donald Gordon Vivian on September 3, 1955. She is survived by her five children and twelve grandchildren: Jeffrey David Vivian of Yarmouth, MA and his two children Christopher and Samantha Vivian; Glenn Donald Vivian of Hamilton, MA and his wife Deborah Witsell Vivian and their two children Wit and JC Vivian; Timothy Horan Vivian of New Scotland, NY and his wife Kristin Garbinski Vivian and their six children Andrew, Patrick, Catie, Donald, Margaret, and Will Vivian; Elizabeth Amy Vivian of Millis, MA; and Laureen Vivian Douglas of Holliston, MA and her husband William Douglas and two children Ben and Ali Douglas.

She moved from New Canaan, CT in 1997, after retiring from Lord & Taylor where she worked for over 15 years, to Yarmouth Port, MA. Her love of the ocean and Cape Cod spurred her interests in painting. She loved sitting on the beach, swimming, walking the boardwalk, gardening, and sharing all of this with her grandchildren. Her faith gave her much comfort through her life.

A wake will be held at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home in Stamford, CT on Friday September 9th from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Basilica in Stamford, CT at 9:00 am on Saturday, with burial following the mass at St. John’s Cemetery.
