

Betty Ruth Page, 83, after a brief illness, passed away peacefully at home on August 20th with her loving daughters at her side. She was the wife of the late Eddie Page for more than 50 years. Her life was filled with happiness and laughter.
Born August 21, 1928 in Georgia the second youngest of seven children of Herbert and Dorenda King, she attended Commercial High School in Atlanta, GA. During WWII she met Eddie, the love of her life. After their 1945 marriage they moved to Stamford, his home town, where they raised their two daughters. Betty worked in men’s clothing retail sales first at C.O. Miller, then Frank Martin & Sons, and prior to her illness, at Macy’s.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed by those fortunate to have known her on her journey through life.
In addition to her daughters, Doreen McKenna of Norwalk, CT and Cheryl Page of Burlington, VT , she leaves behind her grandson, Casey McKenna, her sister Leila Williams of Lilburn, GA, many nieces and nephews as well as her friends who meant so much to her. Each will cherish their memories of this beautiful, wonderful woman who touched their lives in a special way.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, August 25th from 4pm – 8pm at the Stamford Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 2900 Summer Street as well as a service of remembrance on Sunday August 26th at 11am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
