Brad E. Shwidock, D.M.D, 54, of Stamford passed away on Thursday evening November 15, 2012 surrounded by family and friends at Stamford Hospital. He was born October 2, 1958 in Queens NY. Brad was passionate about his work, often volunteering for forensic projects when disaster struck. He was also a passionate golfer, photographer and actor, but what Brad was most passionate about was his family. He leaves behind his wife of 28 years, Carol Rubin Shwidock and daughters Samara and Zoe. Brad is also survived by his mother Doris Shwidock of Lakehurst, NJ and sister, Lisa Shwidock of Hawthorne, NJ. He was predeceased by his father Bernard Shwidock. Brad graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University and Fairleigh Dickinson Dental School. Brad was a dedicated advocate for organ donations since 1975 and he served as the co-chair of the Stamford American Liver Foundation Life Walk the past three years. Brad was a long-standing member of the Board of Directors of Curtain Call, Inc. in Stamford and was recognized with the theatre company's Leadership Award in 2010. He will be best remembered for his perfect smile and the smiles of thousands he maintained through his Stamford Dental practice over the past 25 years. He will also be remembered for his numerous stage performances at many of the area's finest theatres while his award-winning photographic legacy is equally prolific. Funeral services will take place at Temple Beth El- 350 Roxbury Road, Stamford, CT at noon on Sunday, November 18. Rabbi Mark Golub of Chavurat Aytz Chayim will officiate. Shiva will be observed Sunday at 6pm and Monday at 7:30pm at 63 Little John Lane, Stamford. Donations may be made to Donate Life CT or American Liver Foundation.
