

He leaves behind his wife of 74 years Joanna, along with his daughter Jill Owens of Bridgeport, sons Jeffery (Janice) of Atlanta GA, Timothy (Cindy) of Carlsbad CA, and grandsons Taylor, Cody and Lance, along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son Michael.
His love of curling lasted for 45 years. Starting in Green Bay, WI and ending in Bridgeport, CT. He was a past president of the Nutmeg Curling Club and Grand National Curling Association (GNCC). He was also an avid tennis player.
During the Korean Conflict he reached the rank of Staff Sargent with an honorary discharge in 1953 while stationed in Amarillo, TX. He graduated from Butler University in 1953 as a member of the Sigma Nu fraternity. His first job was in sales for General Mills. He retired in 1995 from American Can located in Greenwich, CT. Chuck was instrumental in developing the strategy of adding sport figures on the front of Wheatie boxes (starting with Bob Richards, two-time gold medalist in pole vaulting).
