

Mrs. Christine Milbin, born Christine Buissereth, went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2012 at the Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut. She died peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 6, 1932 in Fond des Blancs, Haiti.
In her earlier years, she worked tirelessly as a seamstress and lived selflessly in order to raise not only her 2 children but also a host of nieces and nephews to whom she opened her heart and home and whose lives she impacted for eternity. She moved to the United States in 1984 and for the decades that followed, she continued to encourage and touch many lives.
Mrs. Christine Milbin was a devoted Christian who gave her life to the Lord in 1968. She was an active member of the Christian Assembly of the Upper Room Church and used every opportunity to give hope to those around her.
Christine is survived by her husband Enol Milbin, whom she married in 1965; her children, Frantz and Chrisner; her daughters-in-law, Marjorie and Caroline; her grandchildren, Christiane, Melinda, Frantz Jr., Frantzy, Stacey and Ricardo; her brother and sisters, Mr. Jean Oldof Buissereth, Mrs. Julien Gabriel born Odile Buissereth, and Mrs. Lucienne Creve-Coeur born Lucienne Buissereth. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews whom she helped raise, Jacline Poteau and her spouse Icaldo Pierre, Janine Poteau, Ismene Poteau, Fresner Poteau, Abner Poteau and their spouses, Jacques Poteau -- all from Florida; Luc Poteau of Boston, MA; in addition to her other nephews and nieces notably, Yanick Tassy, Yvel Creve-Coeur, Jean-Rene Creve-Coeur, Paul Richard Creve-Coeur, Georges Creve-Coeur, Maryse Jean-Pierre, Josette Lefranc, Jocelyne Francois, Daniel Gabriel, Jeannette Guillaume, Jacques Guillaume, Magalie D'Haiti, Guylene Buissereth, Chris-Marth Lalanne, Evouiline Sarrazin, Antony Nazaire and their families.
She will also be missed by her cousins, countless friends and church families.
A celebration of Christine’s life will be held Friday, June 29th at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 2900 Summer Street in Stamford, CT from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 30th starting with a viewing at 8:00 am at the Christian Assembly of the Upper Room located at 1116 Hope Street in Stamford, with Rev. Gerald Guerrier officiating. She will be laid to rest at the St. John cemetery at 25 Camp Ave in Darien. A reception will follow in the auditorium of the Christian Assembly of the Upper Room Church.
Mrs. Milbin adored her grandchildren, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was a beautiful soul and meant the world too many.
