

Dave was born in Arak, Iran, on May 22, 1952, the son of Yadollah and Robabeh Fattahi. In 1976, he came to the United States in order to attend Sacred Heart University. For the past 16 years, Dave was employed by the City of Waterbury as an engineer.
Dave loved Persian culture, especially poetry and music. He was a talented player of the zarb, the principal percussion instrument of Persian music.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Nina N. Fattahi, of Brooklyn, New York, and a son, Daniel D. Fattahi and his wife, Sarah, of South Windsor; a sister, Behnaz Fattahi of Tehran, Iran; three brothers, Marc Fattahi and his wife, Farrah, of Norwalk, Robert Fattahi and his wife, Maria, of Norwalk, and Michael Fattahi of San Francisco, CA; his former wife, Lida S. Fattahi; his beloved cats, Maxie and Houshang; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Burial will be private. Relatives and friends may celebrate Dave’s life and visit with his family on Saturday, October 11 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the pavilion at Cranbury Park, 300 Grumman Avenue, Norwalk. Arrangements are in the care of Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home in Stamford.
