Denton A. Strachan

Denton Strachan, lovingly known as Kermit to is family and friends started his life in Jamaica where at the age of thirteen he began training to gain the skills as a electrician. Denton loved being a electrician so much that he enrolled in a training school to be certified.

Upon gaining his certificate Denton worked for a few years in his home country before he was offered a opportunity to migrate to the United States. In the States he continues to apply his trade; working for several different companies; Harris Electrical was the last company until his retirement at the age of seventy six.

He was a kind and loving son, father, brother and friend to all and he was willing to extend a hand wherever he saw the need.

Denton was pre deceased by his mother and father. He left to mourn his passing his longtime significant other Clara, estranged wife Dawn, six children Rudy , Paul , Lenworth , Christopher , Kirk and Shane; six sisters, four brothers, 19 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

He will be sorely missed. May he Rest In Peace

A visitation for Denton will be held Monday, September 12, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, Connecticut 06905, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial to immediately follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery in Rye, New York.
