Dominick was born in New York, New York on July 9, 1936 (the hottest day on record in New York City) to Joseph Sr. and Rachael Lattarulo. He attended Mount St. Michael’s High School and then Iona College and St John’s Law School. He worked for The City of New York in a supervisory position for Administration for Children’s Services from 1959 until his retirement in 1991. He married his long-time sweetheart Evelyn on June 1, 1958 and had six children.
Dominick always had a passion for football and during his time in New York, he was very active in the Sandlot football leagues. He played and coached for several decades from the 1950s through the 1970s. He also was an integral part of the Metropolitan Football Officials’ Association and CHSFL (Catholic High School Football League) where he officiated and mentored younger officials in the sport.
Dominick relocated his family to Greenwich, Connecticut in 1972. He spent much of his life there until he left for warmer weather in Naples, Florida in 2018. He enjoyed spending time by his pool with family and friends and became a successful day trader during his retirement. He loved telling stories, which typically included himself, and was quick to show off a picture of himself when he was a young lifeguard at the New Rochelle Boat Club. Dominick had a big personality and will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
