Donald W Ryan

Donald W. Ryan, born 12/24/29 in Bronx, NY passed away after a brief illness on 9/30/13. He was a resident of Stamford for over 80 years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Peggy (Weaver) Ryan, two daughters Libby, Patty Reed and her husband Mike, a son John and his wife Lisa and a grandson Ryan M. Reed. He was the son of the late J. Fred and Anna Ryan and predeceased by his daughter Donna. After working 22 years in the Stamford Fire Department, Donald retired and went on to work another 22 years for the US Postal Service. He was Past Master of the Masons, Union Lodge #5 and a Past Patron of Rosemary Chapter #85 O.E.S. Calling hours will be Friday Oct 4th from 4-8pm at Leo P. Gallagher + Sons Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford and a service will be held on Saturday Oct 5th at 10:30 am at the funeral home, followed by burial at Fairfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Connecticut Special Olympics or Challenged People in Motion.
