

Doris F. Daniels, December 7, 1921-September 27, 2013, a longtime resident of Stamford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at Notre Dame Convalescent Home in Norwalk, CT. Born Dorothy Alma Fisher of Bronx, NY to Harry and Marie Fisher, she attended Hunter College. Doris met and married her husband, Sandy, in New Rochelle, where Sandy resided, settling first in Mt. Vernon, NY before relocating to Stamford in 1955. She later worked for the Stamford Public School System as a Teacher Assistant for over 30 years and was active in helping to unify the assistants into a cohesive association. Her love and devotion to her family and friends will be sorely missed while the joy and memories she created will be treasured forever. We love you and miss you; God bless.
She is survived by her son, Glenn Daniels of Jeffersonville, VT, her daughter, Elizabeth Daniels of Chico, CA, her daughter, Jane Spiller of Stamford, CT and her son, George A. Daniels III of Sandy Hook, CT. She is preceded in death by her husband, George A. Daniels, Jr. (Sandy) and her daughter, Barbara Daniels Svenson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Chris Spiller of Bethel, CT, Matt Spiller, of Stamford, CT, Eric Spiller of Stamford, CT, Ben Gerstenmaier of Bethel, CT, Neil Gerstenmaier of Bethel, CT, Kelsey Daniels of Sandy Hook, CT, and Taylor Daniels of Sandy Hook, CT.
