Born in Norwalk, CT, he was the son of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Potmesil) Lynn. He graduated from J. M. Wright Technical School and Stamford High School in 1944. He was employed at The Stamford Advocate for over 55 years working as a typesetter and compositor, specializing in color separation.
Ed loved his 1930 Ford Model A pickup truck and took great pride in driving it around town for years. Always inquisitive, he loved learning about everyone’s projects and interests in great detail. After retirement he enjoyed building RC boats, flying model airplanes and woodworking. He loved surprising family and friends with his handmade word-turned creations. He will forever be remembered for his positive attitude, problem-solving skills, love of food, his warm-hearted good nature and endearing sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Siri (Lindstrom) Lynn, his daughter Siri Linnea Lynn and life partner Craig Polley, his son Dane and wife Eleanor, grandchildren Cameron and Sierra, and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Donald G. Lynn.
He was a proud veteran of World War II, serving in the 124th Calvary Squadron in the China Burma India Theater from 1944-1946.
