Edward T. Russell

Thursday February 4, 2010. He was born on June 15, 1941 in Stamford,

Connecticut. Mr. Russell was the son of the late Thomas & Margaret Russell.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Beverly R. Russell and one sister

Mary Coholan each residents of Stamford, Connecticut. He was the proud father

of 3 children; son David Russell of Monroe, daughter Deborah Palucci of Trumbull

and son Kevin Russell of Weston. Mr. Russell had 5 adored grandchildren; Lauren

and Sara Russell, Amanda and Sean Palucci and Caitlyn Russell. He is further

survived by loved ones and family members; Donna Richards, Scott Palcucci, Shereen Russell and Jodi Russell.

Mr. Russell retired from First County Bank as CFO and Executive Vice President

after and long and distinguished career in the Connecticut banking community.

Mr. Russell was a life long resident of Stamford Connecticut. He served the

community throughout his life in a variety of roles with special emphasis on

supporting the development of youth sports programs. Mr. Russell served as one

of the founding members of the Stamford Youth Soccer league. Additional

leadership and participation roles with Little League Baseball and Stamford

Youth Basketball were beneficiaries of his commitment to the youth of Stamford.

Mr. Russell was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the outdoors with a special

affinity and passion for the game of golf. He served as past president of

Hubbard Heights Men’s club.

Mr. Russell enjoyed spending time with his family, reading and listening to

music. He will be dearly missed by his loving family.

Friends and family are invited to call on Monday February 8, 2010 from 4 PM to

8 PM at Leo P. Gallagher and son funeral home in Stamford, Connecticut. Funeral

services will be held Tuesday February 9, 2010 at 10:00 AM at St. John’s

Episcopal Church 628 Main St. Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at Long Ridge

Union cemetery in Stamford.
