During the many years I worked in the Greenwich Building Dept. division of the DPW I was very fortunate to come to know Effie. Always positive and pleasant, she found solutions to every conceivable problem I brought her. Sometimes I think she just made up an answer and worked out the details later.
Effie never failed me and always left me feeling better for having visited with her.

The world has lost a wonderful person.

We simply want to express our sincere sympathy over the death of Effie. For nine years she was such an important part of my life while I worked with her in Greenwich. She was always supportive, but most importantly she was a dear friend whose counsel I cherished. I can vividly recall the many times we’d discuss many issues, but often they involved her and my family. (We still recall “the ring” she got from Greece and it’s “magic powers” that worked! She wouldn’t give me that ring for my two daughters!😀)
Effie was a special person, and I still miss her. No doubt she is now resting in peace because of her strong faith and heavenly soul! God bless her family!
