Elizabeth Ann Ryan

Those challenges never defined her, nor stopped her from doing anything she set her mind to do. She lived her life to the fullest. Taught us all the definition of strength and determination. All the while with a beautiful smile on her face.

She competed in the Special Olympics for numerous years in swimming, bowling, bocce, golf, track and field. Highlights include competing in the International Games in 1975 held in Michigan and being inducted into the CT Special Olympics Hall of Fame in 2006.

Libby loved to party, dance and share meals with family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Don and Peg Ryan, in addition to her sister Donna. Surviving her are her sister Patty (Mike) Reed, brother John (Lisa) Ryan, nephew Ryan (Abby) Reed and numerous cousins, who will miss her dearly.

Calling hours will be at Leo P Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St. Stamford, CT on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 4:00PM-7:30PM. A Service will be held at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home on Friday, April 11, 2025 at 10:30AM. Friends are invited to gather at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park.
