Erminia DiNozzi

Michelina (also known as Michelle) was born in 1922 in New Haven, CT. Her family returned to their hometown of Villa Santa Maria, Italy shortly after her birth. It was there that she met her husband, Mario. In 1948, they ventured to America to begin a fruitful life together. Michelina’s greatest pleasure was serving others- always putting family first. She was kind, full of love, and saw the good in people. Her home was always open to friends and family and often full of grandchildren playing. Her faith led her way and her beautiful, inviting smile was inspiring and welcoming.

Michelina was pre-deceased by her husband of 74 years, Mario, their first child, Maria Rosaria, and a grandson, Enzo. She is survived by her two children- Maria Sulpizi & her husband Vincenzo and Joseph DiNozzi & his wife Cecile. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren- Alessandro Sulpizi & his wife Milena, Stefanie Bhalla & her husband Amit, Jon DiNozzi, Daniel DiNozzi & his wife Yenny, Joseph DiNozzi & his wife Keri and Stephen DiNozzi; and her great grandchildren- Christian, Gabriella, Alessandro, Tyler & Braden.

Calling hours will be from 9:30am to 10:45am on Tuesday, December 23rd at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street in Stamford, CT. A Christian Mass will follow at 11:30am at Saint Cecilia Parish, 1184 Newfield Ave. Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at St John's Cemetery in Darien.
