Frances Finch

Frances M. Finch, 99, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on April 12, 2015. Frances was born in Stamford, CT on June 5, 1915. She was the daughter of the late Max Thimler and Alfrieda Hollander Thimler. A 1933 graduate of Stamford High School she worked as a bookkeeper at Fodi Furniture for many years. Frances was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Walter E. Finch, Sr. and her son, Walter E. Finch Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy, four grandchildren, Mark (Mary), Kathryn Malizia (Lou), Max and Zak (Nicole). Also surviving are six great-grandchildren, Brooke, Meghan, Krystin, Sara, Melissa and James. Frances was the heart and soul of our family. She will be missed very much. A special thanks to friend and caregiver Sonia Chambers. A memorial service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 628 Main Street, Stamford, CT 06901 on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11am.
