

Frank A. Dorrico, III, 57, passed away peacefully at the home of his brother, Michael of Norwalk, CT on January 8, 2014. He had been fighting a courageous battle with cancer for the last year. He was born in Stamford, CT, March 21, 1956, and raised in Greenwich, CT. He attended Glenville Elementary, Western Junior High & Greenwich High, class of 1974.
He was the son of Barbara A. (Fraser) Dorrico and the late Frank A. Dorrico, Jr. Frank was employed by the U.S. Postal Service, since 1984. He retired from the USPS in August, 2013. As a youth, he was an alter boy at St. Paul’s Church, in Greenwich, CT. He was the first Eagle scout of Troop 35 & a Charter Member all these years. He coached the Vet’s Little League baseball team from 1974 - 1980. He also coached the Econowash and B.C. Softball teams, each for 15 years. Frank played in many softball tournaments for charity as well. He was very active in sports, also playing with local volleyball and bowling leagues. He had quite a green thumb, as was evident with all his garden’s at Hampshire House (where he lived) & family plots and gardens in the area. Besides his Mother, Barbara of Kent, CT, he is survived by his Aunt Mary Dorrico of Sun City Center, FL; his sisters, Susan & her husband, Rick of Kent, Ct., and Patricia, of Greenwich; and his brother, Michael and his wife, Deeann, of Norwalk CT; as well as his nieces’ Nicole Giancaspro and Elyse Koontz, of Fort Worth, TX; McKinley Dorrico, of Norwalk CT and his nephew Michael Dorrico, Jr of Norwalk, CT. He leaves his great nephews’ Vinny & Gino Giancaspro and great niece Alexis Koontz, all of Fort Worth, TX; as well as many loving cousins and dear friends.
Frank’s family would like to thank all the Doctor’s & Nurses at the Bendheim Cancer Center, Greenwich, Ct, for their loving care & support through all of his visits.
The funeral Mass will be at St. Paul’s Church, Sherwood Ave, Greenwich, CT on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 10:00. Family and friends will meet at Leo P.
