Freida E Schwartz, a lifelong Stamford resident, died peacefully at the age of 97. Born in Stamford, CT in 1920, the daughter of William Epstein and Tillie Saltzman Epstein. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Schwartz, and survived by her daughter Susan R. Schwartz of Stamford, and niece, Keeva Crelan of Stamford. She was employed at Citizens Utilities Company in Stamford for many years, and served as a court stenographer at Selective Service Headquarters during WWII. She loved her family, neighbors and friends deeply, and enjoyed family parties and observing holiday traditions.
Services will be held at Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home on Friday, May 5th at 1:30 p.m., interment immediately following at Temple Beth El Cemetery on Roxbury Road in Stamford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
