Mr. George Castros

George Harry Castros, died on October 8, 2010. He was born April 6, 1926, to Georgia Romanos Castros and Harry Castros in Philadelphia, PA. At age 14 the family moved to Stamford and opened the Central News.

George married Mary Carmela Vuono in 1953. He was employed by Pitney Bows for 29 years. George and Mary relocated to Heritage Village in Southbury and enjoyed an active and wonderful retirement.

George is survived by his loving and devoted wife Mary, son Frank, his wife Suellen, daughter Georgene Arpaio, her husband Pasquale, and daughter Katherine Smith. Six wonderful loving grandchildren, Cerissa Arpaio Orbegoso, her husband Walter, James and Zachary Arpaio, Christian and Morgan Castros and Alexander Smith.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 12 at 10:00 am at the Church of the Archangels, Stamford officiated by Fr. George Poulos. Family will receive family and friends at the church from 9:00am-9:50am. Interment will take place in Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Leo P.
