He was born on May 2, 1949 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Growing up he lived many years in Redding, Connecticut and attended Joel Barlow High School after which he went to Dean College and then to Pratt Institute where he received a degree in Architecture. He owned his own business, G. B. English and Co., where he helped residential, commercial and healthcare clients design their interior and exterior spaces.
Some of his favorite moments in life were spent with his wife of 40 years, Kathleen English, traveling, taking cruises and just driving the back roads of America. He particularly loved the many years they spent vacationing in the mountains of Gunnison, Colorado.
He is predeceased by his parents, Helen and Graham English, and also his sister Marue English Walizer.
He leaves behind his wife, Kathleen and her family, including many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, which he adored dearly.
A wake will be held on Sunday, October 25 from 2 to 5 PM at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 2900 Summer St, Stamford, CT
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, October 26 at 10:00 AM at St. John Catholic Church,1986 Post Rd, Darien, CT
