Jessie M Martin

Jessie Mae Martin of Norwalk CT passed away Wednesday October 23,2013. She was born in St. Matthews, SC, to the late Mattie and David Wolfe. She was married to Mr. Byines Martin who preceded her in death. Jessie accepted Christ as her Savior, and was an active member of Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church until her illness. Jessie worked at Xerox until she retired in 1998, and was passionate about traveling and spending time with her grand children. Jessie is survived by two children: Byines Martin Jr (Wanda) Four Oaks, NC; Carolyn Martin (Gregg) Norwalk, CT. Her two step daughters: Linda Brown (Wallace) Nightdale, NC; preceded by death Maggie Martin. Jessie is, also survived by seven grand children, and several great grands. Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM followed by a service of celebration at 11:00 AM at Faith Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 29 Grove Street, Stamford, CT. Burial will be private, and arrangements entrusted to Leo P. Gallagher & Sons Funeral Home.
