John Anthony Belfiore, age 78, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024. He was born on June 15, 1946 in Brooklyn, NY to John and Vivian Belfiore. After graduating from Baruch College, he began a distinguished career in advertising. By the time of his retirement, he was on the Board of Directors at BBDO Worldwide where he acted as Executive Vice President, Head of Media, New York.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; his brother, Anthony; his sons, Christopher and Matthew; his daughters-in-law, Candice and Christie; and his three grandchildren, Emma, Timothy, and Gwendolyn. In his spare time, he loved going out to dinner with his friends, visiting his large family, playing golf, and spending time sitting on the stoop talking to his grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will take place Friday, September 6 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home at 2900 Summer Street in Stamford, CT. A celebration of life will take place at 6:30 p.m..
