He is survived by his wife, Ellen, daughters Erica Brown (Peter), Courtney Ghiloni (Matthew DiCesare), and Chelsea Tracy (fiancé Garth Muratori), grandsons Noah and Dylan Brown, brother Peter (Joanne), sister Rosemary Schoenherr (Charles), along with nieces Alicia Unger (Kevin) and Melissa Schoenherr and nephews Peter Ghiloni and Bobby Schoenherr. He is predeceased by his parents Leo and Mary Ghiloni, late wife Joanne, and daughter Lindsay.
Joey was born October 28, 1954 in the Bronx, New York. He had a long and successful career at Swisher International as a Vice President of Trade Operations. He was an avid Jets and Mets fan, and bat boy to the 1969 championship NY Mets. Joey’s love of life and his family was evident in everything he did; his sense of humor was one of a kind. He made a lasting impact on all the lives that he touched and will remain in our hearts forever.
Services will be held at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street in Stamford, CT on Wednesday night from 4-8pm. A mass will be held at 10:30am at St. Catherine’s in Riverside, CT on Thursday, September 27, 2018.
