

Born in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Josephine made Stamford, Connecticut, her home for more than 70 years. She devoted her life to caring for others, working as a nurse’s assistant at Greenwich Hospital, as well as a babysitter and caregiver throughout the Greenwich, Stamford, and Norwalk communities.
A woman of faith, Josephine was known for her kindness, generosity, warmth, humor, and welcoming spirit. She was also a gifted cook who loved preparing meals and entertaining family and friends. Her home and table were often places where others felt loved and welcomed.
Josephine is survived by her son, Marcus Edwards of Bridgeport; her daughter, Millicent Layne of Stamford; her brother, Manasseh Edwards of St. Vincent and the Grenadines; and many relatives and dear friends throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, Trinidad, and the United States.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Millicent Edwards; her sister, Caroline Archibald; and her brother, Nathaniel Edwards.
Josephine leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, compassion, generosity, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
