Kenneth A. Hiller, a longtime resident of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2022. He was 95. Born in New York City on June 6,1926, Ken was the eldest son of Louis and Lillian Kuhn Hiller. He attended New York University, where he earned his bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees in Engineering. During his long and distinguished career, Ken held executive positions at Ingalls Iron Works and Oxhandler Structural Enterprises, ultimately retiring at the age of 85 as the Chief Engineer of Lendlease. Ken loved his work and would take any opportunity to share stories about the places he traveled, structures he helped create, and the people he met.
Ken is survived by Earline, his wife of 74 years; sons William of Alpharetta, GA (Linda) and James of Essex, CT (Susan), two grandchildren, Olivia Hiller and Matthew Hiller; and brother, Roger Hiller of Greenville, SC (Peggy). He was predeceased by his oldest son Earl Hiller and brother Barrie Hiller (Margaret). A celebration of Ken's life is being planned for this spring.
