Lemiel Joseph Fleurimond

April 15, 1938April 26, 2021

Lemiel Joseph Fleurimond, the last of the 8 kids of Merion and Choizeide Fleurimond born on April 15, 1938, left us peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of 83 in the morning of April 26 this year.

He will be lovingly missed by his wife Molina Fleurimond, His sons: Sadrack , Berthin, and Esnith Fleurimond, his daughters: Myrlande and Erose Fleurimond; His son-in-law: Lucner Jean, His daughters-in-law: Florence and Sylotte A. Fleurimond, His grand sons: Sadrack Jr. and Hudson Fleurimond, Yalandsky, Benjamin, and Asrel Jean, his granddaughters: Darline Fleurimond, Ludny Jean, Bertlie and Sydlie Fleurimond and a multitude of nephews and nieces spread all over the place in this world.

Lemiel Fleurimond was above all a man who loved God to the point one can’t have a conversation with him that will not end with some part of the scriptures. Before migrating to the United States in 1980, he was a renowned speculator employing a bunch of people to work in his fields. He was a tough negotiator with the merchants who bought goods in bulk from him, but was always a man of heart to reconsider when those merchant came back to him with tears that they lost money from the deal. Upon arriving here, He has elected to work tirelessly in the hospitality industries and Mechtronic Corporation until he had a stroke at the age of 63 in 2000. A disease he has strongly fought with his body and soul until his very last day on April 26. Through that fight, the family cannot thank enough his dedicated wife Molina Fleurimond who’s been by his side day and night, and his daughter Erose Fleurimond for all her hard work helping her dad going here and there, Brother Eddy Louis who’s been overly supportive, and finally quite a few members of our church for their support throughout the years. To prevent missing some people, we will omit naming names.

Viewing and funeral service will be held at the French Speaking Baptist Church located at 28 Adams Avenue Stamford, CT 06902 on May 8 at 8:00 AM through 11:00 AM

Lemiel Fleurimond,
rest in peace! I have a very faint memory of you racing your horse to the water, or wrestling with the other young men---(Ay gason Bondye pa tonbe), and the long machete hanging about your waist------Thank you being a great husband to my cousin Molina, thank you for showing them the right way to live, thank you for being a good example for them to follow--
May the Lord welcome you with opened arms and may the angels sing Alleluia he made it through---

As you grieve and saying good night to Fr. Lemiel it would encouraging to remember, “Death to the Christian is the funeral of all his sorrows and evils, and the resurrection, of all his joys”. May his passing serves as an incentive to grow deeper in your faith while cherishing and holding on to the hope of rejoining him in God’s dwelling.

Uncle (tonton Lemy ! Was a strong leader of his family who loved his mom & family. I remember as a 10 year old when he came to visit my grandmother riding on his tall horse; I was always happy to see him, but sad when his leaving, because grandma would start crying. My deepest condolences to his wife (man Lemy) & my cousins. Too many to named

Uncle Lemiel was a dear uncle; I remember when I was a little girl when we were all still in Jacmel, he would come to visit my family, it was always fun to see him and my dad interacting with each other with so much genuine love for each other. My deepest condolences to aunt Lemy, and his children - my cousins.
