Born in Lares, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Raymundo Quiles and Maria Vargas. She retired from Weeburn Country Club in Darien to devote her time to caring for her husband, who was bedridden with Parkinson’s disease. She spent every day with him until he succumbed a few years later.
She relished being a part of the Pentacostal Mission John 3:16 church in Stamford, CT. She will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering Christian beliefs, and love for her family.
She is survived by her three sons and their wives, Lemuel and Cathlina Carde, Ricardo Carde, and Dennis and Yeymy Carde, her granddaughters Raquel Perez, Lisette Coriano, Selena Carde, Jaylene Gonzalez, Isabelle Carde, and Aviana Carde, and her great grandchildren Jodi, Sebastian, Marcelino and Dean. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Marcelino Carde, and several other family members.
Friends and family are invited to calling hours Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 9:30-10:30am, at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home in Stamford. Graveside service will be celebrated at St. John’s Cemetery 25 Camp Ave, Darien, CT at 11am.
