Born in Corail a small village in Jeremie, Haiti, she was the daughter of Marcelin Simon and Clorinde Pierre. At the age of 15, in 1950, she went to Port-au- prince with her aunt Agnes Simon to complete her education. Six years later, she married her sweetheart and from that union 3 beautiful kids were born: Marie Kettly Marshall, Marie Jocelyne Lubin and Eustache Nicolas Dorval. Mrs. Dorval was a housewife who took great pride in caring for her family. She was a devoted mother who enjoys spending time with her kids. She has a passion for singing, reading and watching good movies, she also loves to cook and bake, but above all, She was a woman of faith who finds her strength in reading the word of God.
She will be remembered for her courage, her good sense of humor and her devotion to others.
Mrs. Dorval was predeceased by her beloved husband Nicolas Dorval, her mother Clorinde Pierre, her father Marcelin Simon and her aunt Agnes Simon.
Friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday, 3/7/2020 from 9 AM to 11 AM at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT 06905.
Funeral service to be celebrated on 3/7/2020 at 11:30 AM at Union Baptist Church, 805 Newfield Avenue, Stamford CT 06905. Interment to immediately follow at Long Ridge Union Cemetery.
