Mark Leonard Vignola

June 27, 1954March 14, 2013

Mark Vignola, beloved son of Leonard and Dorothea Vignola, left his family on Thursday, March 14, 2013. He is survived by his significant life partner, Christine Pollander, and six siblings: Eric, Chad, Cort, Noelle, Adam, and Dawn Vignola and stepmother, Barbara Mitchell. A life-long resident of Stamford, CT and graduate of Stamford High School, he started off his career at Hilti. He worked in computer programming and sales for much of his life and was active in his father's mayoral campaigns. A lover of skydiving, animals, and sports cars, he was a loving, good hearted brother, son, and partner. His beautiful face, easy laugh, and quirky sense of humor will be very much missed. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Danbury Animal Welfare Society, 147 Grassy Plain St., Bethel, Ct 06801. To leave an online condolence please visit

I am so sorry to hear the news. Mark was my best friend growing up in Stamford, we lived next door to each other and enjoyed racing go carts up and down Gary Rd. Mark and I took up Skydiving together and both worked at Cannondale.
My deepest sympathies to you and Noel, Chad, Eric, Cort, Adam and Dawn.

I Can't tell you all how sorry I am over the passing of Mark. All I keep thinking of are all the times Noelle and I spent with him at the apartment on Hope Street. And how much he helped out when my mother died. That will never be forgotten. I hope you know your parents were waiting for him, your mother may have been a bit late but they were both there, and he is in good hands now. The hurt of this world is over for him and I like to think he's looking down to help care for all of us when we need a little extra. I want you to know, Eric, Chad, Cort, Noelle, Adam, Dawn, Barbara and Christine, my thoughts are with you all right now and if you need anything you know where to find me. My love to all of you in your time of need. Wina
