Mary Catherine Golden

Born on October 16, 1931, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mary K was the daughter of Albert Joseph Regan and Dorothy Bradley Regan. She was raised in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, where she graduated from Camp Hill High School with the Class of 1949.

On January 17, 1959, Mary K married the love of her life, James Joseph Golden, at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church. Together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and enduring friendships.

Mary K is survived by her two sons, James Joseph Golden of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and Michael Regan Golden and his wife, Sue, of Norwalk, Connecticut. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Megan Johnston and her husband, Matthew; Christi Driscoll and her husband, Sean; Shannon Golden; and James Joseph Golden V and wife Andie. She was also blessed with three cherished great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Kellan, and Kyle, who brought her immense joy.

She is also survived by her sister, Marguerite Regan Thacker of The Villages, Florida. Mary was predeceased by her brother, Albert Joseph Regan Jr. of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and her sister, Helen Regan Bordlemay of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.

Prior to her marriage, Mary K worked for American Airlines and Trans World Airlines, where her lifelong love of travel began. After raising her two sons, she returned to the travel industry, working for many years with a travel agency in Greenwich, Connecticut, before retiring to Florida.

For more than three decades, Mary K made her home in Greenwich, Connecticut. She later enjoyed many wonderful years in Naples, Florida, and New Seabury, Massachusetts. Most recently, she was a resident of Edgehill in Stamford, Connecticut.

A woman of deep faith, Mary K was a devoted parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside, Connecticut as well as Saint William Catholic Church in Naples, Florida.

Mary was an active member of Riverside Yacht Club in Riverside, Connecticut, The Club at Pelican Bay in Naples, Florida, and New Seabury Country Club in New Seabury, Massachusetts. She embraced life with enthusiasm and found great happiness in golfing, tennis, puzzles, sewing, and entertaining family and friends. She was known for her gracious hospitality, warm smile, and ability to make everyone feel welcome.

Above all, Mary treasured her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, generosity, quiet strength, and unwavering

love touched all who knew her. Her legacy will live on through the family she adored and the countless lives she enriched.

A Mass of Christian Burial and celebration of Mary's life will be held on Thursday August 6th at Saint Catherine of Siena Church in Riverside (Chapel, not the main church).
