Born in New York on September 11, 1925, to Francis and Mary Halley, Maureen was a woman ahead of her time. She began her career in banking before marrying the love of her life, Joseph A. Falotico, on January 20, 1951. Together, they shared over 60 years of marriage, marked by love, partnership, and countless memories. Barely 5 feet tall, Maureen and Joe—towering over 6 feet—were a striking pair on the dance floor and in life. Though small in stature, she was a force to be reckoned with—just ask her sons, especially when they came home late!
Maureen and Joe raised four sons: Joseph (Stella), Thomas (Angela), Michael (Pat), and Christopher (Jeanette). Her greatest joy came from being “Gram” to her beloved grandchildren: Kristy, Joey, Michael, Dana, TJ, Anna, James, Charles, and Joyce. Family gatherings, especially holidays and Sunday dinners, were lively, noisy, and filled with love—made even more special when shared with the extended Falotico family.
She was a talented seamstress, creating beautiful designs for her “girls,” and had a lifelong affection for animals, especially her beloved Daisy, who brought joy to her later years. Her happiest place was the family cottage at Trout Lake, where summers were filled with laughter, friendship, and treasured memories.
Maureen was predeceased by her husband Joe, her parents, her brother Francis Jr., her son Chris, and her dearest friends and family members, John & Dot Falotico and Ray & Babe Noha. We take comfort knowing they are reunited, celebrating together once again.
