With profound sadness we announce the passing of Milagros (Milly) Grant, after a courageous battle with cancer, on November 16, 2020. In the end, her loved ones were comforted by the fact that she slipped away peacefully and painlessly.
She was the beloved wife of Gerard Grant and devoted, loving mother of Jaylen and Laylah Grant.
Milly was born in Lima, Peru in 1984 to parents Mercedes Esposito and Louis Perez. In 1991she immigrated to the United States and has been a live-long resident of Connecticut.
Her life was a testament of love, compassion and hard work. She started working in high school, continued working while completing her degree at Norwalk Community College. She worked at Bank of America for fifteen years and most recently as an assistant manager in addition to selling real estate for William Raveis. Milly’s professional drive was only outweighed by her desire to be the best mom possible to her beautiful children.
She loved animals (RIP to Banks and long-live Mellow), being around her friends, sitting in her car listening to music, traveling, and was enamored with butterflies.
Though she will be dearly missed, she leaves behind a beloved legacy of family: stepfather Scott Esposito, sister Mirtha Perez Rodriguez, brothers Luis Perez, Stephen Esposito, Michael Esposito, brother in-law Oscar Rodriguez, mother in-law Lillie Grant, father in-law Gerald Grant, brother in-laws Pierre Taylor, Gerald Grant, Michael Grant and sister in-law Victoria Richmond as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Leo Gallagher funeral home in Stamford will be hosting Milly’s wake on Monday, November 30, 2020 from 4:00pm - 7:30pm, followed by her home going service on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 10:30am.
