Patricia F Canzano

Patricia (Pat) F. Canzano died Saturday, March 7, 2015 at the Smith House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of brain cancer. She was 69 years old. She was a resident of Stamford since 1947. She was born in Rochester, NY, January 28, 1946. She was predeceased by her father Peter F. Canzano, her grandparents Herbert and Cecelia Unnever, her Uncle Herbert Unnever and Aunt Virginia Northrop. She is survived by her mother Dorothy U. Canzano of Stamford, her sisters Kathleen Canzano of Saranac Lake, NY and Deborah Canzano of Rock Tavern, NY, her uncle Ellis Northrop of Barefoot Bay, FL, and cousins Scott (Melissa) Unnever, David Unnever, Kevin (Sharon) Northrop, Jeffery Northrop and Douglas Northrop.

Pat was a member of the first graduating class of Rippowam High School. She worked at SNET for 33 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Springdale VFW Post 9617 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Turn of River Volunteer Fire department. She was also a member of the Pioneers of SNET. She enjoyed crafting including sewing, embroidery, and cross-stitch. She was also a wonderful baker. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Zucker and Dr. Paul Weinstein and the staff of the East wing #1 of the Smith House for their wonderful care. Friends may visit Saturday March 14th from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer Street Stamford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the Turn of River Church, 49 Turn of River Road, Stamford, CT 06905 or to the Turn of River Volunteer Fire Department, 268 Turn of River Road, Stamford, CT, 06905.
