Paul Stuart Frosch

Paul Frosch passed away July 22, 2026 at the esteemed age of 83. Born March 11, 1943 in Brooklyn, New York to Goldy and Sol Frosch. Paul grew up in Brooklyn with a passion for life. He graduated from City College of New York, where he met his loving wife, Susan, through mutual friends. They later moved to Poughkeepsie, New York where they had their 2 sons, Ira and Kent.

Paul was one of a dying breed who worked for a single company, IBM, for over 40 years. After beginning his adventure in Poughkeepsie, he advanced after to Rochester, and then a few years later to Yorktown Heights. At this point, he moved the family out of New York to Colorado, where he discovered his a passion for the weather. From that point on, he was quick to tell anyone in earshot how good or bad clouds looked, and what the weather would bring.

After his sons graduated University and High School respectively, Paul and Susan moved to their second Rochester in Minnesota. After a few years working at the AS/400 plant, they began an overseas adventure living, working, and exploring Europe. Though initially Based in Milan, Italy, they quickly moved to Paris, France. Whilst there, Paul became a critical member of the Lotus Domino team. This deep connection with a key product would lead to his final European move to London. Whilst there, he was integral to a marketing effort that was his pride and joy for decades to come. He and his team flew In business leaders from around Europe on a special Domino.Jet aircraft to showcase key technology. After his success in Europe, Paul returned to the States with his wife and settled in New Fairfield, Connecticut.

He spent the last few years before retirement working as a direct report for the current IBM CEO in IBM HQ. As important as IBM was to Paul, the time came for him to slow down and settle into retirement. He and his wife Susan travelled around the world to experience all it has to offer. During a bucket list trip to Russia, unfortunately Susan passed away.

In the twilight of his life, to say that Paul lived for Women’s basketball would be an understatement. He was a super supporter of the UCONN women’s and WNBA basketball teams following the sporting news, ensuring he knew what teams were playing when, and watching as many games in person or on TV as possible. Paul spent his last full evening cheering on UCONN alum Brianna Stewart as she led the New York Liberty to an overtime victory over the Dallas Wings.

Paul is survived by his sister, Joyce Helfant, sons Kent and Ira; as well as grandchildren Sara and Jacob.

Funeral Services will take place 1 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT 06905. After services are complete, he will be interred at the Temple Shalom Jewish Cemetery 143 Richards Ave, Norwalk CT 06854. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make donations, please do so to either the Yale Adams Neurosciences Center Fund, or the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
