Pete Cavanna

Pete was born on December 2, 1949 and raised in Springdale. He was predeceased by his father Peter Cavanna and mother Anna (Rosum) Cavanna. He was the owner of Cavanna Roofing and remodeling (established in 1929) he inherited from his father. Pete was also the President of the Gateway Antique Auto Club of America. He was a committed usher at St. Maurice R.C. Church and in honor of his kids he was a loyal NY Yankee fan. He cherished his time spent in Rhode Island with his family.

Pete was blessed to have had his devoted bride, Pam Sutherland. He was a loving father to Terri Lynn and Peter Cavanna. Pete was also a father figure to Kate and Anne Sutherland. He was considered a “brother” to his cousins Paul Rosum, Rick Rosum, Mary Ann Hinterneder and the late Robert Rosum. Pete was deeply loved and supported by countless family and friends.

Pete’s family will receive friends on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 4 – 8 pm at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Maurice R.C. Church, 358 Glenbrook Road, Stamford.
