Mr. Roland "Bubba" Nelson Jones Jr., born September 8, 1934 in New Haven, Connecticut, to the late Roland N. and Mildred A. Jones passed away at age 83 on April 21, 2018 at Yale New Haven Hospital, in New Haven, CT. He graduated from Yale University and the University of Connecticut where he studied Social Work and Spanish. Throughout his life and career as a Psychiatric Social Worker for the State of CT and St Raphael's Hospital, he touched and improved many lives. He loved to travel, and enjoyed language, literature, and good food! Roland was predeceased by his son, Tommy; sisters, Lucy, Dominga, Vicki and brother, Frankie. He is survived by his sons, Roland III and Keith; daughter, Michelle; sisters, Mildred, Carolyn, Frances, and Marguerite; beloved grandchildren, Ashley, Nodjua, and Roland IV; as well as a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances. He will be greatly missed. May he rest in peace.
